What is Reiki?

 

Reiki is a Japanese form of healing that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. What makes Reiki unique is that it incorporates elements of just about every other alternative healing practices such as spiritual healing, auras, crystals, chakra balancing, meditation, aromatherapy, naturopathy, and homeopathy.

Reiki involves the transfer of energy from practitioner to patient to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy. Reiki utilizes specific techniques for restoring and balancing the natural life force energy within the body. It is a holistic, natural, hands-on energy healing system that touches on all levels: body, mind, and spirit.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word representing universal life energy, the energy which is all around us. It is derived from rei, meaning "free passage" or "transcendental spirit" and ki, meaning "vital life force energy" or " universal life energy".

Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize. Unlike other healing therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced.

In Reiki, the word healing has a somewhat different meaning from the widely accepted meaning.   The widely accepted meaning for healing seems to be curing of symptoms, for that seems to be what medical doctors and the like look to do in their practice.  The other meaning for healing, used in the practice of Reiki as well as other related areas, is the return to greater wholeness. 

As well as the physical and emotional benefits, Reiki can aid spiritual growth and for those wishing to expand their natural gifts and strengthen their connection with the divine.

The  result after each session varies to  different degrees from person to person.  I tell my clients that Reiki is not a miracle cure, yet it can alleviate symptoms of disease and compliments western medicine and therapies.

Angels are both a manifestation of the power of God as well as personifications of that power. Most Angels do not generally interact with humans unless specifically asked. Guardian Angels are always with us, The Archangels take particular interest in humans, and assisting and strengthening them.

Angel Reiki resonates with everyone!  Angel Reiki is not just for people with health or emotional problems; it is for anyone who would like to maintain balance in their lives of their mind, body and spirit. There were times when some students had some concerns with the source of Reiki and the idea of having Angels included in a healing was more palatable for them.

Each time an Angel Reiki session is performed, the Archangels with their healing helpers lend their energy to be channeled into the client, enriching the force of Reiki to offer a unique and effective therapy. Clients have remarked on their ability to connect with their angels during an Angel Reiki session, and comment on feeling energized and relaxed.  This loving treatment helps to unblock stagnant energy and cleanses the Chakras, leaving the client with a feeling of well being.

Some clients have also reported obtaining a better clarity; being able to discover solutions to their problems by seeing themselves as a whole being, and not just a shadow.
